The quintessential entertainer, Charlie
mixes rock & roll and
country music into his own blend of southern and country
rock. He
then adds some down home story telling and
a few jokes creating an intimate performance style no matter what size
the
venue.
Charlie has been playing and
singing for as long as he can remember.
Growing up the son of a fire and brimstone Baptist preacher, he learned
at an
early age how music can move someone to “jump and shout and share the
spirit.” He began playing guitar and
started his first
band in junior high school and began performing at local talent shows
and
school functions. Through the years he has played with several bands,
most of
which played classic and southern rock as well as country. His primary
influences are the classic and southern rock bands of the
seventies such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad
Company, Molly Hatchet, Bob Seger,
Ted Nugent, Elvis, and Hank Jr.
