Born in the historic town of Marshall, deep in the east Texas piney
woods; Dale Howard grew up listening to Texas giants such as Ernest
Wills, George Jones and Conway Twitty.
As Dale say's "It was a
Jim Reeves, Kaptain Kangaroo and gospel music"
Dale picked up the guitar at age 16, just as his family made a move to
Fort Worth and hasn't put it down since. Playing guitar and being the
lead singer for "The Pigeons" and singing in the church choir while in
high school kept Dale pretty busy. Yet somehow he found time
perform in talent shows
dabble in the magicians arts and has become
an accomplished illusionist.
became interested in magic after seeing a Black Stone episode on
TV. Santa brought him a magic kit that Christmas and he was off and
running. Dale now performs magic as part of his stage show, but in
he also uses magic to teach safety to children, and
has performed for the troops returning from Iraq. Dale has
performed at at several Texas venues including the Wylie Opry, River
Oaks Texas Opry, and the Texas
Country Music Hall Of Fame Showcase
where he went to the finals.
A unique and gifted entertainer Dale Howard keeps the tradition of the
Texas Gentleman Performer alive. Giving audiences a wide variety of
traditional, contemporary, and Texas tunes mixed with a bit of humor
and a touch of magic!
Dale who is a
and a member of the Ft. Worth songwriters association,
recorded his first album "Wings" in
the "Pot O' Gold label". His second album "Honky Tonk Callin"
released in 2007 also on the Pot O' Gold label helped to garner him a
Tennessee Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year
Dale has spent the last couple of years performing a tribute to Jim
Reeves and also touring with Johnny Horton Jr.
